Building Six Pack Abs
Many of the models I’ve worked with through the years have many tips and tricks as to how they keep their lean and sculpted bodies. For instance, this model of mine, Sam, does 1000 crunches per day during his lunch hour. I’ve tried to do this myself and I only made it to 500. (and my stomach hurt for a few days)
After the holidays wind up and after we all “let things go” a little, there are a few tips and tricks to shedding that excess baggage created by all the holiday “splurging.” Power yoga, running, biking — all the good old fashion cardio tricks seem to be the answer. I’d say pick up a Men’s Health magazine and find a good regiment and stick to it.
There are also a few resources out there like The Abs Diet that Men’s Health puts out there. As well as other programs like P90X and best-sellers like Body-For-Life. These are all great resources that teach you good tips on eating and exercising. Note that I did not say dieting and cardio. Health is all about balance and that’s what I look for when I make recommendations to guys I work with. Body-For-Life, p90X and The Ab Diet teach you balance.
Balance seems to be the key for many people. Finding ways to eat healthy, push your body to a few physical limits and make sure you drink enough water, supplement and get enough sleep — you know, all the things your mother told you to do. My mother and grandmother preached these sermons too; however, they don’t have six-packs though.
So as I prepare for my last holiday feast of the 2008 holiday season, I’ll also be planning my recovery workout and eating plan for first thing in the morning! Best of luck to all of you in the New Year and stay in touch and let me know how you are doing with your workouts!

Dear Tony! Once again it’s a pleasure visiting your website; you have captured, with startling light, a terrifc portrait of A)not only your singular model but of B)per se, universal manhood and masculinity. The lighting on the model’s face, flexed bicep/tricep,and hip bone (and inclusive of the innuendo lighting used to tastefully capture the displayed genitalia area)is illustration’s “storytelling” at its best:Like the axiom of good theatre,” Always leave your audience wanting more”.The restraint of your camera work, editing of the shot, and your artist’s eye(capturing this sensuous yet classic pose) have all made this one of the best black and white portraits I’ve had the pleasure of viewing. Even your background is noteworthy: as the man looks “real” in his natural state of unbridled nudity, you have aslo worked in the real and very “natural” wood that is universal –the planks of a sauna, or of a mountain cabin, be they in Aspen, Colorado or in Lucerne, Switzerland. The bright light — to the model’s left — splashes into the scene and highlights the dark, gouging crevices of the wood’s grain. The wood’s horizontal lines help to draw the viewer’s eyes to the levels of abdominal muscles, as well as to counter balance the massively strong veretical lines of the male model(From his neck, navel, and pubic area). The “flow” that you have created is stunning; sometimes peole take a quick glance at a work of art, and say, “Yeh, that’s nice, let’s move on, what’s to eat? Wanna catch a movie?” but your art — if people will stop (and take sixty minutes to scan and appreciate your laterst posting of 4th January 09) your art will rewards viewers, as I was. I had a chance to lose myself in a moment of natural beauty –”… how like an angel in movement, how like a god in reason, the paragon of animals”. Forgive my “trashed” Shakespeare. Your immortal”Michelangelo’s model” is looking just fine! Congratulations, Sir. Keep up the great ART! GREGG OREO
1000 every day? Good god. I was under the impression that you needed some rest to let the muscle build.
