So one of the studies I’ve really enjoyed thus far is the musician. Yet of the scores of men I have photographed, only one brought an instrument to shoot with.
Musicians have the ability to lock everything else out, to focus on the music and for a moment — lose themselves. I shot a series last year (samples to the right) with a friend of mine who is a Violinist. What interesting work came out of the shoot.
The music was not only a nice change of pace for a shoot, but musicians do really tend to get lost. Capturing that moment, for all it was worth coupled with the raw masculinity of the male form created a great series of shots. So — calling all musicians — who is next?
